Rinaldo`s in Halifax

Had the hero sandwich and my sister had the burger special, both of which were amazing! The meatballs in the hero sandwich were so moist and the nice touch of adding the olives in the sandwich was great! We ordered their special fries which we polished off the plate. I didnt have enough room for their desserts, they have doughnuts made in house! We were in the process of getting our bills and overheard that they have a new dinner menu. They have kept some of customers favorites but added a few new items. I know I have to go back so I can try something different. Great meal, just have to go back

Friday night, very busy . We're waiting 48 minutes and then our food arrives. It was a long wait by the door but the food here is excellent. We had the Chicken Parma Hero and a Classic Pizza - delicious .

The food is good. The portions are definitely on the tiny side. Especially the subs for the price.

Went early so it wasn't busy. Service was good. Food was great. Establishment was very nice and clean inside. Will go again.

Good pizza. Decent selection of local beer on tap. Enjoyed the Shrimp Scampi. Worth a stop for a casual meal. Good service.

How has it taken me this long to eat here? I'm sad I've missed out until now. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere cozy and the people were lovely! I'll be back soon!

Aggressive instagram marketing really is not representative of their final product.I decided to give this a try between classes and just try out a donut- popped in and popped out.I found it strange that there were none on display but i was in a rush and had seen great pictures online.Product was disappointing. A bit oily and I could tell the Boston Cream I was sold wasn't fresh. The real kicker though? The price they display online is $3.50, and I was charged $4. I was in a rush so I didn't realize I was ripped off. While it's just 0.50, the principle of it really ticks me off- and I can't help but wonder what else they silently jack the prices up on.

The meatball sub is just... To die for. And everything else I've had is also super amazing. Good local spot.

Food was perfect, the pasta is made fresh everyday and you can tell. Asked about speciality coffees and they offered to make whatever I asked for. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable, will be back again!

Rinaldo's is a great restaurant with friendly and welcoming staff. The food is prepared fresh and tastes incredible.The delivery experience leaves something to be desired. I have ordered twice, once from work, once from home and both times I was hit with a $5 delivery charge that wasn't mentioned on the phone. The first, when ordering from home, was for "out of region" delivery, despite having called first to confirm that they could deliver to our address. No mention of a delivery fee. We live near the Windsor location and only a few minutes from the Dutch Village location.The second, when ordering from work, was for "before 4PM delivery", which wasn't mentioned when I placed the order. I'm very close to the Dutch Village location, so I didn't expect a delivery fee, in spite of my previous experience. Neither fee appears on the website.My advice, skip the delivery and visit them on Windsor.

This place is the best in Halifax for Italian food. The pasta, pizza or hero's are world class. Excellent service and pricing. My weekly go-to spot. Oh and don't forget to try the donuts!!

We loved it! I noticed the pizza driving by last night, looked great. We decided to drive back after our walk and try it if we could find it again. We did find it, it was a bit late so we felt bad but really wanted to give it a shot.New regular spot for sure! Food was SO good I tried to finish mine, which is rare. Bar man was friendly/helpful when we first walked in and our waitress was so friendly and funny that it made it really comfortable. Great food is important but a really good server/staff really makes an experience.

A classic pizza and an Arugula Salad was a summer dinner night tonight! Glorious!

We arrived just before 6:30 knowing we had to leave by 8:00 pm for a flight out of town. We ordered and then became engrossed in conversation, be it as time passed we all began to notice our growing hunger. Then one of our party asked for an additional item for takeout. It was at this point that the wait staff noticed our order was not completed in their system. It's now 7:40 plus. So we had to change our order to get something that they could have ready in time to allow us to eat and leave by 8:00. So we ordered spaghetti and meatballs, which is not my ideal meal. It's what kids order. But it did fill the hunger. Not a positive experience. I'd probably return because we had reasonable experiences there before this visit, but it isn't on my list if must visit restaurants in Halifax.Don't be afraid to ask where your order is !

You've GOT to try the cauliflower appetizer; delicious!! Service was a bit slow, however a super quaint little spot with delicious food! Arugula Salad w/ chicken; fantastic and very reasonably priced!

We ordered the cauliflower appetizer, oh my goodness it was so good. For our main meal we ordered their pizza, same thing absolutely yummy! I wish we took pictures! You won’t be disappointed!! Our server was great, super quick!! Nice atmosphere too!

Great food, service is always very slow

Ordered from them on a Friday evening, was told it would be an hour wait (no problem), after an extra half hour we gave them a shout and they apologized and offered to compensate us by throwing in some extra food. The food arrived another 30 minutes later, cold, and without any extra food :'( The cold pizza wasn't bad though

I am giving a 3 star because normally I am ABSOLUTELY in love with Rinaldo's food and will go out of my way to get their garlic fingers. They come with three different dipping sauces and normally the cheese and garlic ratio is very on point but this time they overcooked them and the crust felt thinner than normally and unfortunately this time it was just a let down.EDIT - After the owner, Tony reached out and provided me with a gift card to get some more garlic fingers, I was very happy once again! I ordered from their new location on Dutch village road as that's more convenient for me and they did not disappoint! Such good garlic fingers with the perfect amount of cheese and garlic! Thank you!

Best Italian & American restaurant in Halifax.

I’ve only been for brunch but WOW their fried chicken eggs benny is delicious!! It was quite busy too so it’s definitely a popular spot. Service was a little slow, but maybe it was just a short staffed day!? Definitely willing to try it again!

This place changes a lot from lunch to dinner. I didn't liked it that much at lunch but I loved it at dinner. I don't know if they recently change management but this time at dinner the servers were great eventhough they were very busy.

This is a wonderful place for truly classic Italian food. Great service, comfortable ambiance, absolutely delicious food. It's nominated for Best of Halifax for good reason.

Really enjoyed the meal. Cauliflower appie was awesome. Feature pasta also amazing. Gun casual atmosphere. The only criticism was when I ordered an 8oz glass of wine. It was so full in the glass that I couldn't aerate or open the bouquet at all. It would be great if they had little carafes or bigger glasses.

Loved this place, it's a great place for lunch and a quick bite. Nice simple attire inside. The staff are friendly and have good recommendations. My reco would be the Meatball Sandwhich and a pint a beer.

Highly recommend the cauliflower! I have been here several times and it is consistently good food and service.

Very good pizza, one of the best ones I’ve had n Halifax! The Boston Cream and the Canolli are amazing.

Meh. I have to admit I was a little disappointed with my experience here. After following these guys on Instagram for so long and seeing the amazing food they put out, I had high expectations. My brother and I decided to go for the pizza since it seemed to be the main menu item/specialty and all I can say is that it was "meh". Especially for the price. Sure, it's a big pizza and it's "gourmet" but nothing to really write home about. I'd like to venture back and try something else off the menu to be sure but as far as the pizza goes, you can get better for your money elsewhere.

Food was fine, server was very pleasant, but our service was disappointingly slow at every step. Waiting 15m to order drinks, waiting on cutlery while appitizer cooled, no welfare check, waiting for water, waiting again to be offered the bill, waiting for the bill. The impression was that our service and experience was less of a priority than clearing tables or talking with coworkers. Sorry Ronaldos room to improve.

Delicious, huge portions, really nice staff, great outdoor seating area, all around a fantastic place to get a bite to eat. I had the chicken parm and it was easily two full chicken breasts, the sauce was a bit sweet and the cheese was plentiful. I had an app which were mozza sticks and while awesome I don't know that I would order them again because the mains are so damn plentiful. Next time I will be ordering the pizza as every-time they went by the table I was impressed.

Great place to hang out on a Tuesday evening. Food is delicious, the lobster ravioli was well done with real lobster meat and the portion size is generous. Will definitely go back when I get a chance to do so.

Unassuming place with incredible food and great prices. Considering they just opened, Rinaldo's is well on it's way to becoming a Halifax icon. The chocolate cream pie was outstanding.

The arugula salad was large and tasty. The spaghetti and meatballs were okay. I prefer something a little spicier... maybe some chili flakes would have improved it. The meatballs were large, but there were only two of them. The pasta was done well, almost al dente, not overcooked as is often the case in other places. Prices seemed high for what was a lunch menu at 4pm. Would have been nice to order from the dinner menu, but it wasn't on offer.Beer was good. A few options on tap.

Solid Italian-American standards. Good pasta, good heroes, solid pizzas. Lots of good tomato and cheese. Highly underrated cocktail menu, good local beer selection (plus Peroni).

Fantastic place for typical Italian-American food. Much better than pub grub, very generous portions and decently priced. You will never leave hungry eating there. In fact, you may actually leave the place bloated and happy.

Love the food coming from these 2 guys! Incredibly yummy! Pizza sauce brings me back to the old days in Boston!

Great atmosphere. Went for Burger Week 2019, and got "The Big Kahuna". Great taste, the addition of pineapple was a nice touch. My only complaint is that the bun was a little burnt.

First of many visits. Great spot just minutes from us. Cocktail and drinks were great. The food was to die for! So fresh and flavorful. And the service was incredible, the staff are wonderful! Can't wait to go back and try more of this Italian menu 🙂

One of my new favourite restaurants in the city. Every dish I've tried there has been INCREDIBLY delicious, they have fantastic vegetarian options, and every time I've gone the friendly, helpful, and down to earth service has been a huge plus. Definitely a go-to for city dwellers and outsiders alike, I couldn't recommend it more!
